NE TEENS IS A YOUNG PERSONS’ SERVICE

Who do we work with?

NE Teens is a free service for young people (12 - 21 years) whose parents or carers have an alcohol or addiction problem.

How do we work?

In individual counselling we provide a safe environment for young people to share their fears and difficulties as a result of living with someone who has an addiction.

The counsellor will work in the ‘here and now’, goal setting, exploring how they express themselves, self esteem, confidence and assertion. We will increase young peoples’ awareness of addiction and teach new coping skills for living with an addict.

Where do we work?

The service is open to young people whose parents/carers are not on the structured day programme. We provide counselling at our office in Woodford Green and local schools.
